Linda McLaughlin attended and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1988. She holds a B.A. in French, and soon followed that with a teaching certificate from UNC- Greensboro. She began teaching French, Spanish and German in a middle school program in NC, but then moved on to teach French and Spanish in high school. She also has an add-on certification and M.Ed. in English as a Second Language from UNC-G. In 2005 she moved to Virginia and began teaching at North Point High School when it opened. In her 27 years in education, she has taught foreign language and psychology/sociology, been a soccer coach, been a bus driver, club sponsor, National Honor Society sponsor, PBIS chair, and worn many other “hats”. Linda has been a member at large on the EACC Executive Board, PAC chair, EACC Vice President, and is currently serving as EACC President.
